Yes, we have done it! Taken the plunge! We are building a dog kennel, boarding and training facility! We are very excited and nervous! But it is going to be great and it is already under way! So this is the big news we have in our family! No baby, just dogs! =) Lots and lots of sweet little (and big) dogs... So I'm sorry that I have not posted for a little while, but we got the news last Thursday (November 6th - Ash's Birthday), and we started digging on Monday (November 10th)! And it has been one thing after another since, good and unforeseen (like all the rain we got this week, making things very sloppy and wet and yuck, but things are still getting done)... it is all so exciting! Take a look at the progress so far, and I will keep everyone up-to-date, and if you could keep us in mind when you are praying for kind and nice weather over the next several weeks, that would be wonderful too! The beginning... Mark is just starting to dig... goodbye grass and dirt!
Another shot of the building before EVERYTHING is torn up!
The mountain of dirt is starting to take shape, Trenten just LOVED watching all this... he got out his little digger and was digging left and right right along with Mark.
The dirt has been moved and the trenches dug for the footings and retaining wall.
Sloppy and muddy, and so dirty! But progress is being made!
That's where the building will soon stand!
A retaining wall is going in back here, and some outside runs for dogs.
Sloppy, cold, and pretty miserable weather...
They are getting ready to pour cement! Yeah!
Cement has been poured! Bigger yeah!
That is going to be a big wall!
It will be so great when it is all done... soon we can refill around these footings with the dirt that was dug out...
Someone mentioned a doggy pool for the kennel, but I don't think this is what they had in mind at all... We had a lot of water this week.
Looks more like sloppy canals... doesn't it?
Trenten things this piece of equipment is the best thing down at the site right now...
And this is how everything is getting torn to shreds right now... but it can all be fixed (and always at a price, but we have to do what we have to do for now)... So soon and very soon, there will be a great kennel that everyone can take advantage of... Tell your friend and family... Stone Hollow Kennels will be officially opens as soon as possible!
